Sharon Meyer is a licensed psychologist who works with adults, couples, and older adolescents. She specializes in health psychology, and has experience working with patients with cancer, Lyme disease, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis. She also provides therapy for depression, life-stage and intimacy issues and sexual problems. She offers individual, couples and group therapy.
Meyer received her doctorate from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. Her doctoral disssertation on the doctor-patient relationship in breast cancer was named Dissertation of the Year by the New Jersey Psychological Association.
Meyer has a wide range of experience in providing services to ethnically and socio-economically diverse client populations. Her specialized Health Psychology experience has included working as part of a treatment team caring for medically ill patients in a hospital setting and work with cancer, HIV-positive, and other chronically ill patients and their families.
Meyer is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
