The Counseling Center in the Berkshires’ twofold mission is:
- To provide psychotherapy for healing and growth in relationships, moving toward greater awareness and capacity for communication, respect for self and others, and the ability to engage life more wholeheartedly, and
- To provide opportunities for learning through workshops, seminars, consultation, and supervision.
We believe that every person has an essential spiritual dimension which centers the person, draws toward integration, and calls toward ultimate possibilities of healing and creativity.
Our clinical and teaching staff represent the licensed disciplines of pastoral counseling, clinical psychology, and social work. These professionals actively create a community that nurtures growth, accountability, and continuing development. Our clinicians are guided by the ethical codes of our professional organizations.
The Counseling Center in the Berkshires is a not-for-profit organization, governed by a community-based board of directors. Services are provided by licensed therapists at several locations in Western Massachusetts.
