As a therapist Rachel uses a collaborative and compassionate approach, seeking to create a safe space where the client can uncover their unique strengths and begin the healing process. Rachel has experience with a variety of clinical issues and populations. She has facilitated family work in an in-patient psychiatric unit, provided supportive counseling to homebound elderly and most recently worked with teens and families impacted by violence in a school-based counseling program. With special training in creative art therapies, Rachel enjoys using a variety of modalities from art therapy to writing to find the best fit for each client. Rachel also has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and mindfulness practices.
